Magilla was born an only gorilla to a humble primate house on the south side. After he started to eat his weight in bananas on a daily basis, the economic burden on his family became too much and he was traded for a Lhasa Apso named Magoo at Peebles pet store.
For the next 6 years, Magilla would develop his acting skills and his knack for mischief and mayhem. There he would meet and become fast friends with O'gee, a pillar in the community and a good friend.
As Magilla's fame grew, so did his ego. He fell into the same bad habits as other actors often do - Hollywood parties, lavish life style and failed relationships. Magilla's demands for custom grown bananas flown in fresh daily would prove too much of a burden for the struggling show's budget. Later on after numerous arrests, the state would make O'gee responsible for keeping Magilla under control.
Eventually the show was canceled. The entire cast would be forced to seek employment in the private sector.
O'gee became the General Manager of a successful finish company. Her past experiences as the show's producer would prove indispensable. Her abilities in keeping Magilla out of trouble, dealing with personnel issues and production schedules would prove useful. O'gees' involvement in the community with such projects as "Bananas for the treeless", "Coconuts are not just for bowling" and the "Free the lemming" movement have earned her a strong public standing.
Mr. Peebles semi-retired into sales. Having some six years without a single Gorilla sale, he realized he needed to sell something people really wanted. Peebles went to work for the powerful and cunning O'gee where she taught the needed the skill of survival in the business world.
Magilla lives on in legend, having been seen in various parts of the world, swinging from tree to tree and causing mayhem and havoc wherever he goes. |
